Knowing your skin type is very important. It is necessary to consult a dermatologist before you start spending your money on skin care products. Skin care products must be compatible to your skin, otherwise it might not give the desired effect or may even result in negative side effects.
There are basically 4 types of skin to be considered when matching skin types to skin care products:
Normal Skin
Normal skin is usually in a balanced state of suppleness, elasticity, hydration and color. Normal skin type feels soft and smooth to touch. People with normal skin type usually feels comfortable after cleansing, neither tight or dry. Normal skin type can change, however, to other type of skin due to various reasons such as poor skin care routine, excessive sun, wind or cold exposure, a poor diet and hormone imbalances.
Oily Skin
Oily skin type is a result of excessive sebum production. -> SEE More How to take care your oily skin.
Dry Skin
Dry skin is mainly due to lack of oil. -> SEE More about dry skin.
Sensitive Skin
Sensitive skin type is characterized by pale complexion, and this type of skin can become blush purple easily. When buying skin care products, it is often more practical to choose according to how dry or how oily your skin feel. Your skin is a living organ and skin type can change from season to season or even from week to week, depending on your general health, lifestyle, weather and hormonal changes. It is therefore important for you to profile you skin type before buying skin care product.
